Fugitive Recovery Capture Stories

Hiding in plain sight, I spot you, follow you and wait until you stopped to smoke… And then I apprehended you.

Once again, instead of going to my archives I’ll post my latest arrest as it occured on 04/13/09.

I had this kid on a small $1,513 bond. About 2 weeks ago the co-signer of the bond wanted to revoke his bond but wasn’t able to afford the fee for doing that. Since I don’t arrest people for free in most cases she was stuck on the bond. She bonded him out and she’s gonna have to see it through or pay the arrest fee. Plain and simple.

So his court date was on April 13th, 2009 and of course he decided not to go. I go out to his mommas house and set up shop. I’m there for about 2 hours when a van pulls up. About 3 mins go by and the fugitive comes out and hops in the van. I begin to follow them as the neighborhood is too rough to attempt an arrest in the streets. Within about 1 mile the van pulls into a local liquor store and the passenger goes in. The other two in the van slide the doors open and begin to smoke cigarettes.

Without hesitation, yet casually to avoid detection, another agent and I go up and quickly pull the fugitive out of the van and cuff him. He’s found with a nice size knife on him. The element of surprise caught him and he never even came close to being able to reach for his pockets.

On the way to the jail I just wanna say hi to the lovely ladies in the Jeep who gave us a taste of Mardi Gras!!  woo hoo…thanks ladies. lol. The fugitive also greatly appreciated the view before jail. He’s currently in jail on a $25,013 warrant. Total bond recovered was $1,513.
