This isn’t part 2 of my previous post but more just a good example of the craziness of this buisness.
Here’s a good lesson for new bondsmans and bountyhunters. I have this illegal immigrant on a $15,000 bond.
While on bond with me, he decides to go to Georgia. This is why you never let anyone leave the state on bond. 
While in Georgia he gets in a car accident and is arrested and deported back to Mexico. Then to add insult to injury, the defendant dies while in Mexico!
So here’s your big problem. You have an illegal dead guy in Mexico who needs to be in court in 1 week or your going to have to pay $15,000!!!! Your only option is to physically go to Mexico and obtain a copy of the death certificate and bring it back to the court.
A side note, if your defendant dies AFTER his court date and the warrant being issued, the state WILL make you pay the bond, with or without death cert.
So I go to Mexico and get the death certificate (and a few Margaritas) and the State released me of the bond. Off the hook on… $15,000!!
