As the web tech, one thing that constantly irritates me is trying to figure out exactly what makes Google tick. We have a Google Maps listing for Bail Bonds in Clearwater, and when you search for it, our listing used to come up 1st and 2nd. Now we’re getting 2nd, replaced by a company that goes by the name “Almost Out Bail Bonds”. Well we studied the listing, and apparently it was put up by a “gary@officialbusinesslisting.com”. What is funny to me, is that after going to officialbusinesslisting.com, I learned that they charge $3 a day to put up and “maintain” a Google Maps listing. Someone is actually paying over $90 a month for something I can set up in about 2 minutes or less.
