Armed and Wanted

October 25th, 2011

Well I had typed this post just previously and it has disappeared so I have to try to retype it!! This guy had been recently released from prison after 6 years from a robbery charge. He now skipped his court date on charges from an alleged armed carjacking to alleged drug possessions and resisting arrests. His bond is $40,000. Unfortunelty for him , I was the bountyhunter hired to find him.

I go to his first address and raid it with the police. When guys are this dangerous and most likely armed , I highly suggest taking the police. No pride is hurt, remember if your by yourself with the police, the reward gets split one way, your way. The police are just assisting. Also remember, your still going in first. I can promise you, they will be following. So we raid the home and it is empty.

About 1 week later I receive a tip on where the fugitive may be staying. No address or anything, just a basic description of the house and a roundabout area. I drive around in the POURING rain and see a house that fits the description. I notice an extremely elderly man hopping into his caddy and I pull up to him. I identify myself and show him the picture of the subject and ask him if he looks familiar and not to look anywhere if he does. The gentleman says to me “that’s the young man across the street”!! BAM!!

I call the police to assist and 2 officer’s come out. Ironically the same officer’s that arrested him 7 years ago and sent him to prison. The lord works in mysterious ways. So armed with shotguns we approach the house. I begin to pound on the door and identify myself. About 5 minutes go past and nothing. I then yell ” last warning, I’m kicking your door in”. I begin to kick when I hear the lock click. A young lady comes to the door crying. I drill her about where the fugitive is hiding and she refuses to talk. The police threaten to arrest her and she still stays silent.

We begin the entry when a 3 year old comes out into the hallway. Guns are quickly pointed above the kids head incase the fugitive comes out from behind him. Which they will do cause they think you won’t shoot. We manage to get the little one out and just when we do, a pitbull comes out. I manage to call the dog to me before the officer fired. After he’s tied up we begin entry.

I take the room to the left while the officer’s clear the rooms on the right. As I enter the living room it’s empty except for a futon sofa and table. I gently lift up the futon mattress and notice two feet!! I quickly flip the futon over and a gun is held to the fugitives head while he’s cuffed. He was quickly drug out in his sox and boxers and returned to jail. Total bond recovered was $40,000.

Filming another tv show

October 25th, 2011

On a lighter side, I recently finished taping a Norweigan TV show called Uncle America. It starrs Dansken & Fingern. Two hilarious guys and the show was so much fun. They basically look for relatives of norweigan celebrities and get sidetracked on the way. I will post the link for the show when it airs in Feb 2012. I will attach a pic of me and the hosts… crazy fellas…

So this girl here was allegedly being looked for by some detectives. Due to the high risk now, I decided to revoke her bond. I go to her neighborhood and half the houses are not numbered. As I am driving down the roads, I glance over and notice my target standing in a yard on the other side of the road. I make a rookie mistake and hit my brakes a little too hard. When I did she ran back into the house. I hop out quickly and run full speed at her door and kick it HARD!! It then shut right back in my face. I kick it again and notice the fugitive and her husband trying to hold the sofa against the door. So I push the door and manage to get in. The girl ran into a bedroom and locked the door. The husband tries to block me so I kicked him into the wall. I then kicked the bedroom door down and cuff her and drag her out screaming. Total bond recovered was $10,650. Booking photo is coming soon.

Crack, it’s whats for breakfast

December 18th, 2010

So here we go again. Tis the season for revoking bonds and putting people in jail the week before Christmas.

So the co-signer on this bond wanted off for various reasons. Whatever the reason, I am forced to revoke the bond if the co-signer requests for it to be revoked. The co-signer says he was sleeping in his bed. I go out to the apartment and walk on in. I look to the back bedroom and the guy is laying in there awake and smoking a crack pipe. He literally just woke up and hit the pipe!!

He did start to resist arrest but once he realized I was a bondsman and not the police he calmed down. Its usually the other way around. There was quite a bit of illegal narcotics laying around. But that’s none of my concern.

By the time we got to the county jail which was about 3 miles away, he was drenched in sweat. Some of you newbees to the buisness, if you take someone to intoxicated to the jail and the say “we need him medically cleared by the hospital” your in for a LONG night. It once took me 10 hours to get someone cleared by the hospital. So when I notice how messed up he is, I tell him to relax, I will get you back out and get me a new co-signer when you get out.

It’s a total lie but it calmed him down and bought me enough time to get in and out of the jail..hahahha…. bond recovered was $ 26,000. Pic will be available later…having technical “throw your computer out the window” troubles.

A Bond Revocation Story – Part 3 – The Third Time is a Charm for this Fugitive

November 25th, 2010

Well this is the 3rd time the co-signers of this girls bond wanted to revoke it.

The ONLY reason in my mind that you revoke a bond is because your worried the person is going to skip court.

Domestic stuff, them owing you money or etc. is not a reason to take someones freedom.

So I told these people I am not revoking the bond on a girl who’s not a flight risk the day before Thanksgiving. Of course they flipped out and threatened to call the police. The police would of probably laughed at them. But to just avoid all the hassle I did something I never do or would suggest anyone to do.

I decided to take them off the bond and have NO co-signer on a $11,300 trafficking bond. She’s not going anywhere and even if she misses court, she won’t be hard to find.

So to all my readers… HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING…PEACE AND LOVE…

A Bond Revocation Story – Part 2 – Apprehension of a Fugitive at a Daycare Facility

November 24th, 2010

So after I had bonded this girl back out, the co-signers called and wanted to revoke the bond once again.

I go out to the daycare center where she picks her boy up from and park across the street. About an hour passes and she pulls up very quickly and jumps out the car and into the daycare way before I can get her. My hope was to get her before she walked in a building full of children. So I put my badge away and walk in. I was greeted by lots of munchkins. I walk to the back and the girl has her back towards me and her child in her hand.

I walk up and tap her on the shoulder and she turns around and doesn’t look happy. I have the little man go with the daycare lady and walk the defendant out to my truck uncuffed. She gives no problems this time.

Not wanting to take her back to jail I figure out a way to let her go. Whats ironic is as of TODAY, I just got another call and they want to revoke her bond for the 3rd time!!!!! So stay tuned for part 3.

What to do about a dead bondjumper

November 22nd, 2010

This isn’t part 2 of my previous post but more just a good example of the craziness of this buisness.

Here’s a good lesson for new bondsmans and bountyhunters. I have this illegal immigrant on a $15,000 bond.

While on bond with me, he decides to go to Georgia. This is why you never let anyone leave the state on bond.

While in Georgia he gets in a car accident and is arrested and deported back to Mexico. Then to add insult to injury, the defendant dies while in Mexico!

So here’s your big problem. You have an illegal dead guy in Mexico who needs to be in court in 1 week or your going to have to pay $15,000!!!! Your only option is to physically go to Mexico and obtain a copy of the death certificate and bring it back to the court.

A side note, if your defendant dies AFTER his court date and the warrant being issued, the state WILL make you pay the bond, with or without death cert.

So I go to Mexico and get the death certificate (and a few Margaritas) and the State released me of the bond. Off the hook on… $15,000!!

A Bond Revocation Story – Part 1 – How not to act as a parent in front of your children

November 22nd, 2010

Ok this one here is a good lesson on why not to go by yourself on an arrest.

This was a bond revocation on a young lady. I figured I wouldn’t have any issues seeing how it is a girl and all. So I go up to the girls house and knock on the door. She comes and answers and I explain to her who I am and what’s going on. Next thing I know she tries to shut the door on me. I stick my foot in the door and push it open. I grab her and then realize her 3 year old is sitting on the floor.

So she starts going crazy and hitting, kicking and biting me. I’m trying my hardest not to hurt her in front of her child. So then he starts to cry because his mom is screaming and yelling. I manage to grab his shirt and slide him across the hardwood floors and gently into the bedroom and I shut the door. I then “take the girl out” haha. I finally get her cuffed and take her out to my truck kicking and screaming. I then call the grandparents and they came and got the little guy.

I did end up bonding the girl back out 2 days later. Then funny enough, I had to arrest her again 3 weeks later which I will tell you about in part 2 of this story which will be posted tomorrow. Total bond recovered was $11,300. No pic is available

From FL to CA, a Warehouse of Marijuana and being Stuck in the Middle with Captain RottenStench

November 19th, 2010

Ok, let’s try this once again. Sorry for the hiatus. I have been extremely busy.

Anyways, I will start with this guy who skipped bond on me for $5,000. I went to his previous address and his condo was vacant and had been for sometime. I knew the guy collected unemployment so I decided to run his name through some programs I have. Funny enough the idiot had moved to California and recently obtained a new Drivers License complete with his new address.

So I fly my butt out to San Diego and scope out the address. Im expecting a condo or house or something. I pull up and its a huge warehouse. So I walk up to the garage doors and lift them up. Right there in front of me laying on the ground is my fugitive and 2 others. He’s taken into custody without a problem.

Upon further search of the warehouse, turns out they are growing marijuana. No bathrooms, showers or furniture, just plants. So I go to the airport and this guy stinks so bad, I force him to go wash up in the bathroom. I buy him deoderant and shampoo. Still didnt help much. So 9 hours later we land back in good ol Tampa, FL. Let me tell new bountyhunters and surety agents out there, flying prisoners back on airplanes is a HUGE pain. If you can drive someone back, drive them. Total bond recovered was $5,000.
